This Privacy Policy explains how VoomLog, a product owned and operated by Imaginix Mode Multimedia Limited ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the VoomLog mobile application (the "App").

By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Because VoomLog is built to be offline-first and guest-friendly, we collect the absolute minimum amount of data necessary to provide our services.

A. Guest Users (No Account)

  • Local Device Data: If you use the App as a guest, your daily logs (earnings, fuel, expenses, targets) are stored 100% locally on your physical device. We do not have access to this data, and it is never transmitted to our servers.
  • Anonymous Telemetry: To understand how the App is performing and to improve our features, we may collect anonymous, non-identifying usage statistics (such as app version, device type, and frequency of use). This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
  • Manual Location: If you choose to enter your operating area/city within the App settings, this text is stored locally to customize your experience. We do not track your precise GPS location in the background.

B. Registered Users (Account Holders)

If you choose to create an account to sync your data or generate reports, we collect:

  • Account Credentials: Your email address and encrypted password.
  • Synced Financial Logs: The daily earnings, expenses, and target data you choose to sync to our cloud servers.
  • Authentication Data: Email addresses are verified using a 6-digit One-Time Password (OTP) sent via our email provider (Resend) during registration, email linking, or password recovery.

C. Payment Information (Future Feature)

When we introduce paid features (such as the Verified Income PDF Report), payments will be processed securely by Paystack. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card numbers, bank account details, or payment passwords. Paystack handles all sensitive financial data in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the core features of VoomLog (including calculating your Dynamic Daily Target).
  • Authenticate your identity and secure your account via Email OTP.
  • Sync your data across devices (for registered users only).
  • Generate mathematical summaries of your logged data (e.g., PDF Reports).
  • Communicate with you regarding support requests at support@voomlog.com.
  • Analyse anonymous telemetry to fix bugs and understand feature usage.

3. Data Storage and International Transfers

  • Local Storage: Guest data resides solely on your device.
  • Cloud Storage: Registered user data is securely stored on Supabase servers located in Europe.

By using the App as a registered user, you consent to the transfer of your data to servers in Europe, which are protected by strict data security standards (GDPR compliant). As we expand across West Africa, we ensure all international data transfers comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Guest Data: If you uninstall the App or clear your device's app data, your local logs are permanently gone. We cannot recover guest data because we never possessed it.
  • Registered Accounts: You retain control over your data. If you wish to delete your account and all associated synced data, you may do so by tapping "Delete Account" in the App Settings. Upon verified request, we will permanently delete your personal data from our servers within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

5. Third-Party Services

We share data only with the essential service providers that make VoomLog possible:

  • Supabase: For secure cloud database hosting and authentication.
  • Resend: For delivering automated transactional emails (like your 6-digit login OTP).
  • Paystack: For processing future one-time report fees securely.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties.

6. Your Rights (NDPA & GDPR)

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and international laws, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and data.
  • Withdraw consent at any time (by deleting your account).

7. Children's Privacy

VoomLog is strictly intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as we introduce new features (like paid reports). We will notify you of material changes via an in-app notice. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
